Nelson Cycle Club highlighting top class trails

Nelson has more paid-up cycle club members than North Vancouver.

With up to 600 members a year it’s a stat Director Mike Kinrade uses to highlight how huge mountain biking has become.

And it’s not only for locals but a major destination attraction.

Kinrade recently told city council about the expansive and professional trails development that has been going on in recent years.

He says thousands of top riders as well as families head to Nelson each year.

He’d like the cycle club’s activities to be in line for more city funding and long-term recreation planning.
