The new top Mountie in the Creston Valley is settling into his position.
Staff Sergeant Darryl Hammond says his first goal is to become familiarized with the detachment.
Hammond says this new post is administrative, which is a shift from his last — a Watch Commander in Langley.
This was his first full week on the job.
