MP: closing more Post Offices is ridiculous

The MP for BC Southern Interior is blasting the loss of Saturday service at several more local post offices.
Balfour, Crescent Valley, Christina Lake, South Slocan, and Slocan Park will all be affected as of early May.
But Alex Atamanenko says it doesn’t make much sense – he believes they system is working with dedicated people in place to help folks out.
Nor can he understand why local postmasters aren’t allowed to set their own hours.  He says that’s logical, but Canada Post isn’t doing what’s logical in any of its decision-making.
In addition the Castlegar and Trail Post Offices have reduced their hours slightly.
