Castlegar Bike Park designer eager to get started

The man who’s designing Castlegar’s proposed bike skills park is excited to be back in the Kootenays and getting to work.

Jay Hoots was hired by the local Friends of Parks and Trails group to create the vision for the three acre facility.

Hoots says he is a sponsored rider, who has toured the country and the world, and created a non-profit organization that started dirt jumping.

He held a design charrette in Castlegar last night and will now review all feedback.

The group hopes to break ground by September.
