Construction has started on a pedestrian bridge in salmo.
The project has been in the works for 15 years.
It’s a covered, walking bridge that will span 6th Street across the river.
Mayor Stephen White says initial plans called for just a basic bridge.
Close to $56, 000 in CBT Recreation Infrastructure funding helped pay for the project.
