Cowan's Office Supply disappointed with RDCK furniture decision

A Nelson company is surprised the Regional District of Central Kootenay is holding firm on its furniture contract.

The board confirmed its decision to give it to a Vancouver Island company instead of Cowan’s Office Supply.

Co-owner Paul Cowan was hopeful the board would rethink its decision following a public outcry.

Cowan also says he’s disappointed the Regional District didn’t follow through on a promised independent review.

Chartered accountant Am Naqvi agreed to do it but his professional association advised against it.
