Clara Hughes' big LVR welcome

A huge reception for multiple Olympic medallist Clara Hughes in Nelson Monday morning.


A thousand secondary school students were packed into LV Rogers to hear some pretty hard,cold facts about the superstar’s troubled teenage years.


Hughes gave a very clear message that students need to reach out to each other and seek professional help for their depression, anxiety and mental health issues.

Today is day 74 of her cross-Canada bike ride.

She’s on her way to Creston.
