The old Trail bridge can't be repaired: Mayor

The notion of repairing the Old Bridge in Trail needs to be put to bed.
So Says Mayor Dieter Bogs as the City plans to roll out its comprehensive Communication Plan for residents ahead of July’s expected referendum on the proposed new Pedestrian/Pipe Bridge.Bogs says they will be collecting information from bridge engineering company Buckland and Taylor who did the original assessment on the 103 year old structure in 2010.

Bogs says residents need to understand as well that this is a one time opportunity to partner with the RDKB on the crossing and save significant money. Residents will decide if the City should borrow nearly 5 million dollars to pay for their share of the bridge.
