Careless behavior leads to fires in Nelson

Nelson Fire Rescue is reporting three separate fires on the weekend that could have caused some serious damage.
All of them involved careless behavior.
In one incident a wood pile caught light next to a house.
A carelessly discarded cigarette is suspected.
Then someone threw used barbecue briquettes in a garbage can at Lions Park.
The third matter again involved a carelessly discarded cigarette
This time in a planter at the Husky Gas Station.
Crews put out each fire before they got out of hand.
