200 attend teachers rally in Nelson

Around two hundred people showed up for a rally for teachers outside Nelson City Hall late Monday.
Many teachers and students were part of the crowd as the BCTF strike enters its second week.
The key theme among speakers was the preservation of a strong-publicly funded education system …but that wasn’t all….
…The BCTF says many teachers – especially those who don’t work full-time – are struggling to make ends meet during this strike.
