The defense lawyer for one of the accused in the local armed robberies case isn’t happy with the ongoing legal delays.
Blair Suffredine is defending Krista Kalmikoff.
She and her partner – Andrew Stevenson -are facing multiple charges related to the armed robberies of the Nelson Credit Union, Currency Exchange and b&e’s of two Castlegar pharmacies.
Crown Counsel now expects to bring charges related to four more robberies next month and says they need more time because of the sheer volume of information in this case.
But Suffredine believes any new charges would be linked to Stevenson and not Kalmikoff who wants to get on with a jury trial in Supreme Court.
 September is when a date for trial will be set.
Kalmikoff and Stevenson are expected to appear in Provincial Court July 2nd to hear those new charges.
