Councillor: City should help with Ward Street Place funding

The City of Nelson should stump up some funding to help with the Ward Street Place affordable housing building.
This from Councillor Donna MacDonald as the Nelson Cares Society seeks $700,000 to finish their $3-million reno project.
The Mayor has suggested using money already in an Affordable Housing Fund to help kick start the fund raising effort.
But MacDonald is concerned there’s not much in that.
She’s suggesting helping with energy retro-fit savings through Nelson Hydro and partners.
