Local coalition says action still needed on Trans Mountain Pipeline

There’s been a local force making their opposition to the Kinder Morgan Trans Mountain  pipeline heard in the community and they’re not hesitating after the latest developments. The For Our Earth Coalition has been involved with protests and other events that are coming up this month. Laura Savinkoff is a member of the coalition and says they’re still preparing for a fight even though Kinder Morgan announced that it would be suspending all non-essential activities in relation to the pipeline.

She feels it may be more important now than before to continue with their efforts.

Their next event is a forum with Grand Chief Stewart Phillip happening April 23 in Nelson.
