Nelson joins Facebook generation

Better late than never.

The city of Nelson is joining the Facebook age …although in a very modest way to start.

City Manager Kevin Cormack says they don’t have a full-time social media communications person but they will be putting information on their page which will link to the city’s website.


Cormack says Facebook users can send a message to council or staff and someone will respond, but it won’t be immediate.

Some councillors already have personal Facebook accounts and update them regularly.
