Pole problem causes East Shore outage

Power should be restored to the east shore of Kootenay Lake around 3 p.m. today.

Fortis BC spokesman Sean Beardow says there was a problem with one of the poles.

Beardow says they don’t know what damaged the pole.

About 500 customers are without power from Oliver Road in Gray Creek to Hall Road south of Destiny Bay.
