A modest increase in regional transit ridership

It’s not a huge move but BC Transit is calling the increase in ridership on our West Kootenay Transit System a good start.
Spokesperson Meribeth Burton says our Regional Integrated System showed a rise of 3.5% from the previous year.
The BC average is 2.7%.
The integrated bus system showed biggest passenger growth on the Nelson to Castlegar route.
