Nelson planning a large community solar array

Nelson Hydro is planning a large community solar array.
Residents could invest in one or more panels and the energy produced would offset their regular hydro bill.
Ecosave Coordinator Carmen Proctor says the attraction of this so-called solar community garden is that all customers can have a stake in the technology and savings.
Proctor says they’re still in the concept phase but the Airport or the top of Elephant Mountain could be locations once a site analysis is done.
