Council gives a big thumbs up to solar array idea

A big thumbs up from City Council to the Nelson Hydro idea of creating a solar array.
The solar community garden would have a series of panels paid for by customers that are plugged into the grid.
Energy produced would off-set your hydro bill.
Councillor Candace Batycki says it’s a practical and real step forward.
Nelson Hydro will soon run solar sensors and log data on the best location – possibly on top of Elephant Mountain – before seeing if the idea is financially feasible.
