Slocan Valley voters have said no to a mosquito control program around Winlaw.
Today’s referendum saw the proposal defeated by a vote of 339 to 118 with a turnout of 41.5 per cent.
The plan called for certain Area H property owners between Winlaw in Slocan to pay a combined total of $74,400 per year for the program.
