Three more wildfires but all are small: SE Fire Centre

As expected the South East Fire Centre is dealing with some new fires in our mountains following the thunderstorms the past two days.

There are three in total but all are small.

Spokesman Jordan Turner says one is near Rossland .

..that is spot size too.

And the third is in a very remote area to the north end of Christina Lake.

The small fire reported Thursday 5 km south of Trail is 100% contained.

Turner says the public needs to be extremely careful with campfires because they do not want to be sending resources elsewhere while trying to address these lighting caused blazes.
