Nelson’s historic electric tramway has been targeted by thieves.
Last week between Tuesday and Thursday someone cut away copper wire connectors between the tracks.

He figures the cost of replacement is about $600.
Police have notified scrap metal dealers and recycling companies to be on the look out for the copper pieces.
