Trail's "vibrating" Victoria St bridge

The City of Trail is not picking up good vibrations when it comes to the Victoria Street bridge.

Council had heard numerous complaints about the movements from the structure when heavy truck traffic is crossing that causes some pedestrians to lose balance.

Councillor Gord DeRosa says he witnessed it first hand when they were painting the mural on Cominco Arena.

 

DeRosa says this has been an increasing problem over recent years and he’s concerned it may be causing damage.

Concerns have been passed along to the Ministry of Transportation – who check all bridges annually – but have said they’ll look at the Victoria street structure again.
