Nelson police investigate some weird weekend incidents

A couple of weird incidents in Nelson for the police to deal with.

The first wasn’t far off being a kidnapping of sorts. A woman was asleep in the passenger seat of a car in the downtown with the keys in the ignition.A stranger got in and drove off.

When the woman awoke she got quite the surprise.She got out at her first opportunity. He did too and then just walked off.

Police have identified a person of interest.

In another incident a cyclist deliberately rode head-on towards a female driver before spitting on the windshield and then through the open window.

She recognized the culprit and called his name.He apologized and offered to clean his mess but she declined.Police are looking for him.
