Castlegar needs reliable taxi service

The City of Castlegar needs a reliable taxi service.

So says City Councillor and owner of the Element Night Club Florio Vassilakakis after news that the community’s only local cab company will be closing its doors October 10th.

Vassilakakis admits since moving to Castlegar eight years ago he’s been disappointed with the service and hopes some other local entrepreneur will properly fill the void.


The owner of Castlegar Taxi Transportation and Champion Cabs in Trail says he’s closing up shop due to lack of support from the communities and regional districts and he’s had to reduce his fleet over time.
