Castlegar set for Expedia exposure

Castlegar will be getting some international exposure from a popular travel website.

The City will be featured on Expedia.com after the local Chamber of Commerce spent the last year pitching the community before reaching a deal.

Chamber Executive Director Tammy Verigin Burke says it was important they showcased Castlegar as a four seasons destination.

 

Burke says she couldn’t even begin to imagine what the dollar value is on the free advertising from the company.

She adds a photographer came to Castlegar and took over 2,000 pictures to take back to Expedia.com

The feature should be on the website in the next few months.
