Accusations of abuse of power in Trail sewer crossing debate

The politics around the proposed pedestrian/sewer pipe bridge and the players involved is becoming tense.

A decision by a RKDB Chair at the recent regional Sewer Committee meeting was an abuse of power.

So says Trail City Councillor Robert Cacchioni after Grace McGregor – who is also the Director for Area C – removed him as chair from the most recent meeting.

However, McGregor says as chair of the RD she has the right to chair any committee.

 

McGregor believes stakeholders should stop worrying about committee chairs and just be concerned about reaching a fixed joint arrangement on a sewer crossing.
