Accused armed robber denied bail

The co-accused in a series of armed robberies in our area has been denied bail.

The lawyer for 34 year old Andrew Stevenson made the application in Castlegar court Wednesday.

The judge rejected the request based on how his release might effect the confidence of the public.

Stevenson is accused of holding up three financial institutions in Nelson and Castlegar and a grocery store in Robson.
