Castlegar's Millenium Ponds winter-prepped

One of the three swimming pools at Castlegar’s Millennium Ponds attraction will still contain water through the winter months.

The City’s Director of Civic Works Chris Barlow says after a successful season they have drained the ponds but need to keep some water in one.

Barlow says it was a great first season for the brand new $1.6 million aqua feature that opened in August.

He adds they only had to make minor adjustments to operations and that will help things run better next year.
