Doctors eager to address any concerns on Nelson clinic

The doctor behind the proposed medical clinic opposite Kootenay Lake Hospital in Nelson says he wants to work with the community.

He’s already had a meeting with neighbors and he responded to their concerns.

He says the clinic -which would take up 40% of the three lots – is not a large commercial enterprise, but one that could also host a visiting specialist while offering patients proximity to the hospital’s services and parking.

Kirsten says he’s spoken to the city about  improving the already narrow View Street so its safe for access and better for pedestrians.

He’s hoping his re-zoning request to council moves ahead to second reading soon so he can host a public hearing and openly discuss the project and hear any more concerns.
