KIJHL Wrap up: Oct. 10-12

The Nelson Leafs finished the long weekend the way they started it – on top of the Neil Murdoch division.The Leafs earned two wins in three games against divisional opponents.

Nelson bounced back from a 3-1 loss to the Castlegar Rebels Friday to for a 3-1 win versus Spokane Saturday and 3-nil victory in a rematch with Castlegar Sunday. Meanwhile the Rebels edged Revelstoke 4-3 Saturday.
Elsewhere,The Beaver Valley Nite Hawks opened a home and home against the Kimberley Dynamiters with a 4-3 victory Friday but were lit up 7-1 in the second half Saturday.
And the Grand Forks Border Bruins were winless over the weekend, with a 6-1 loss in Fernie Friday, followed by a 3-1 defeat against Creston Valley Saturday and a 5-5 tie with Revelstoke Sunday.
