People in the Greater Trail area want a Winter Market.
So says City Councillor Eleanor Gattafoni-Robinson who admits she has a passion for the event that she believes has done a lot for the downtown core.
The Chamber of Commerce told the city they won’t be available this season to book vendors for the event leading city staff to recommend council forego the markets til next year.
Gattofoni-Robinson says some vendors don’t participate in the summer markets but only the winter ones.
She adds the event averages 500 people in each of its three outings from November to December.
