School District 20 has started the process of possibly disposing of Blueberry Creek Community School.
Chair Darrel Ganzert says the board is not interested in keeping the facility for much longer.
They currently lease the building to the Blueberry Creek Community School Society.
A public consultation session was held at the school Monday night to share considerations for the future of the site and engage public opinion.
Ganzert says the public wants to see the board sell the school to the society for $1 – something he would support.
However he explains others would like it sold at market value – that is estimated around $240,000.
