Public info sessions on RDCK conservation fund

Widespread public information sessions start Monday on the referendum question being asked around Kootenay Lake next month.

Residents are being asked to pay around $15 a year for a decade towards a conservation fund aimed at a variety of stewardship and ecological projects.

The first in a series of info sessions- run by the Kootenay Conservation Program – go in Argenta and Meadow Creek today.

There are two more sessions in Ainsworth then Kaslo Tuesday.

Many other communities in RDCK Areas A,D and E will be visited in the coming two weeks.
