Candidate forum hears bike path backlash

Will the Connors Rd bike path issues come back to bite any of the incumbent Castlegar councillors?

At Thursday night’s election forum candidate and Connors Rd resident John Phillips again complained that council did not respond to neighborhood concerns including tree removal and sound-proofing loss.

Another non-incumbent candidate Bruno Tassone also questioned the lack of interest after residents made a presentation to council.

None of the five incumbents responded directly to Phillips or Tassone but other contenders brought up what they see as major communication shortcomings at council.
