CUPE will picket Castlegar Winterfest

The picket lines will remain up in Castlegar for an annual holiday event.

Striking CUPE civic workers have set up lines at City Hall and that will impact the Winterfest tree lighting December 5th.

In a media release CUPE Local 2262 is asking the public to respect the lines and to let the new city council know that residents support a return to the bargaining table …as they put it.

The labour impasse is centred around job security language.
