Inaugural council meetings set for tonight

New city councils in three of our main centres will be sworn in Monday evening following the recent elections

In Trail new mayor Mike Martin will take the reins from long-serving Dieter Bogs who is retiring. Martin easily won the election race.Three new councillors will join three incumbents who were re-elected in the Silver City.

In Rossland an entirely new group of six councillors will be sworn and Kathy Moore ( who was previously a councillor) will be mayor.

And in Grand Forks another new mayor – Frank Konrad – will be inaugurated along with four new councillors and two incumbents.
