The new mayor of Grand Forks says he’ll want to check out the financial terms of the recent departure of CAO Doug Allin.
Frank Konrad says any incoming mayor would want to do the same on behalf of taxpayers, especially given his election campaign centred on transparency.
Allin left by mutual agreement with the outgoing council a few weeks ago in the aftermath of the election result.
Konrad says their acting CAO Diane Heinrich is doing an excellent job and if she wants the position council will decide on that in due course.
He and the new council were sworn in Monday evening.
