Nelson candidate withdraws from federal Green Party race

There won’t be a chance for a Nelson-based federal Green Party candidate after all.

Keith Page has decided to withdraw from the nomination race which means Kimberley-based Bill Green is acclaimed for the 2015 general election.

The Kootenay-Columbia riding Green Party membership had been set for a vote Saturday.

Page says Green has a lot more experience than he has.

Page says he had to consider the pressures of trying to run his electronics repair business but he’ll certainly help Green campaign in next year’s federal election.
