A local woman is now facing numerous charges related to a fatal crash near Fruitvale just over a year ago.
RCMP are reporting 57 year old Linda Enoksen of Genelle has been charged with impaired and dangerous driving causing death.
Sgt John Ferguson with West Kootenay Traffic Services says they’re highlighting this information to convey how serious drinking and driving can be.
52 year old Bernard Doherty of Montrose died in November last year when the vehicle Enoksen was driving left Highway 3B and went down the embankment.
Enoksen was seriously injured while two other passengers received minor injuries.
She’ll appear in Rossland court in January.
