Red delays opening

The Alpine City’s Red Mountain resort has bumped back opening day.

Rider’s won’t be able to hit the slopes Saturday as planned.

The hill will remain closed til next Saturday (December 20th) due to warm temperatures and a low snow base at the bottom.

The resort’s Erik Kalacis says they’ve had to stop using their new million dollar snow making machines.

Whitewater Ski Resort outside Nelson however does plan to re-open after closing during this week.
