Trail broadband set for light-up

The city of Trail is ready to activate their downtown fibre optic broadband after signing up a private service provider.

Terry Van Horn with the Lower Columbia Initiatives Corporation says this is excellent news for the many people who took the city’s free offer to connect them to the fibre backbone.

This provider is likely to be the first of many who’ll compete to offer an array of services that require the super high-speed fibre optic lines.

Van horn says this will also encourage new businesses to consider Trail.
