A new City Council and a new policy for social media in Trail.
Chief Administrative Officer David Perehudoff says staff has been seeing an increased usage of the medium throughout the city.
The city worked with a communications consultant to form the policy.
It originally allowed mayor and councillors to be exempt from the new rules but council voted to be part of them.
Trail also announced they will be releasing a bi-weekly bulletin to provide the public updates on council’s decisions and city events.
