Not for the first time a pedestrian has been hit in downtown Nelson on the stretch of Vernon Street at the intersection of Stanley Street.
Once again police are saying low lighting conditions played a role.
Fortunately the vehicle hit the pedestrian at slow speed and they were taken to hospital with non life threatening injuries.
The NPD are again reminding pedestrians they need to be seen and should wear high visibility or bright clothing.
However that stretch of Vernon next to the court house and opposite the parkade has been highlighted before.It can have challenging visibility at night and drivers can be distracted by the traffic lights rather than focusing the crosswalk.
