Ski hills rejoice at new snow

While the recent snowstorm has created disorder on city streets its made for the perfect conditions up at our local ski resorts.

Whitewater near Nelson received 29 cm from Sunday into Monday with a lot more in the forecast over night last night.

Outside Operations Manager Colby Lehman says it’s definitely what they’ve been waiting for.

He explains this dumping has allowed them to open up more terrain.


Rossland’s Red Mountain received 24 cm from Sunday night into Monday morning.

Marketing and Events Coordinator Nicole Briggs says winter is finally here.

Briggs adds all seven lifts are running.
