Trail welcomes inaugural Kelowna flight today

The Silver City welcomes the inaugural trip on Pacific Coastal’s new route from Kelowna and back today.

A celebration will be held at the Trail regional airport Monday afternoon as the first aircraft lands at 1:40 pm before taking off for Kelowna at 2:15 pm.

Communications and Events co-ordinator Andrea Jolly says there’s a huge demand locally for this service.

Jolly says the service not only benefits residents but will have an economic benefit factor for the City.

She adds it is just one stepping stone in developing the airport.
