It was unrequited love for a man aggressively asking for hugs in the Queen City.
Nelson Police were called to Anderson Street Friday in response to the strange behavior but the man had left before police arrived.
However, later that day NPD received a call requesting assistance where a male had thrown out all of his roommate’s belongings on the lawn after he was told by the roommate he was moving out.
It was discovered when police arrived that the angry roommate – a 34 year old local man under the influence of alcohol – was the same person soliciting hugs earlier in the day.
Police stood by and kept peace while the property was moved away.
The angry man was advised he would be arrested if he left his home drunk again.
