Another re-design for the proposed Hall Street Corridor project in downtown Nelson.
Public Works Director Colin Innes says they’ve listened to concerns from local businesses about traffic flow and access.
They’re suggesting moving the intersection currently on the steep hill of Hall Street slightly closer to the Uptown Sports Bar on flatter land on Vernon Street and making it a 4-way stop.
Curb bump outs will make the pedestrian crossings shorter and safer.
The original plan called for a right hand turn only on Vernon for that traffic coming up Hall St.
There will be a public viewing session at the Adventure Hotel next Monday evening to show off all the latest plans.
