Disturbing video was posted by Castlegar kids

A disturbing video on “how to kill your teacher” that was posted to You Tube came from two Castlegar kids.

The matter was initially probed by Nanaimo RCMP after the video was reported by a radio show host in Orlando,Florida.

It shows two boys aged 11 and 13 with toy guns offering instructions about killing a teacher.

Castlegar RCMP Cpl Debbie Postnikoff says it’s a serious matter and they’ve spoken with the boys, their parents and schools officials.

The boys apologized saying it was intended to be just a joke.

In a statement Kootenay Columbia schools Superintendent Greg Luterbach says he’s watched the video and it is disturbing and highly inappropriate.

The school district will be undertaking their our investigation and violent threat risk assessment into the matter.
