Conroy joins opposition Agriculture Committee

One of our local New Democrat MLA’s is part of a new opposition committee on Agriculture and Food.

Katrine Conroy will travel the province consulting with individuals and groups involved in the industry.

Conroy says the Liberal Government has not given agriculture the respect it deserves.

Conroy says if the Liberals had consulted farmers the recent controversial changes to the Agricultural Land Commission probably wouldn’t have happened.

She adds the process will probably take two years and they will form a report to hand to the government.
