Regional Hospital Board "good vibe":Castlegar councilor

There seems to a be a genuine sense of unity and co-operation around the Regional Hospital Board table.

This from long-time member from Castlegar Deb Mcintosh after the first meeting since the election featuring 17 new faces among the 30 people who represent every community.

She describes the mood as “a good vibe” and much better than it has been after years of friction – especially regarding the ongoing central hospital site debate.

The WKB Hospital Board has had some initial discussion around a report – commissioned by Castlegar – to seek a united strategic plan for the whole region.

That’s so Interior Health can direct long-term funding where it’s needed most.
